Irish Air Corps Flying Training School
Padpilot is delighted to welcome the Irish Air Corps as a new partner flight school.
The Air Corps has operated out of Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel in Ireland, since April 1922. The Flying Training School is the squadron within the Air Corps responsible for the training and education of all Air Corps cadet pilots. Their Military Wings Course trains a student with zero flying experience to the standard required for the award of military pilot wings in 15 months, and incorporates an intensive ground and flight training programme.
We’re very proud to be providing the Irish Air Corps with a bespoke ATPL (A) ground school package for their cadets.
Giving their new trainee military pilots access to civilian qualifications for later life is an excellent model.
Graham Cownie, Padpilot MD said, “The Irish Air Corps’ approach to military pilot training is outstandingly thorough and conscientious. Giving their new trainee military pilots access to civilian qualifications for later life is an excellent model for today’s multi career-path lives.”
